SMS clients include a number of manufacturers at virtually every level of manufacturing from design and build to value added resellers (VAR's) who assemble and complete subassemblies, often manufactured elsewhere, into proprietary products. As a result, SMS has a working knowledge of manufacturing process and an appreciation for product development as well as in process finished goods inventories, product development, as well as all other elements in the supply chain from procurement to a variety of distribution channels utilized. This familiarity is valuable experience and impacts marketing plans particularly in product "roll-outs" and the production of support literature and advertising.
